Dragon age 2 worth it?

I was just wondering from other people experiences with playing dragon age, origins, and dragon age 2. Is it worth getting and playing? I'm a female gamer and I heard that it's like an RPG on a console so I thought why the hell not? I have the xbox 360 so I would get it for that, just need to know the basics like-



Can you play as a female character?

What all classes are there and do they have skills that you can learn?

Do you level up and get pets?

Is the game story driven?

Okay Firstly, there are 2 games in the series, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.



Dragon Age: Origins is a great RPG it's lots of fun to play and has a great story. The biggest drawback of the first game is probably the combat which is kind of subpar.



Dragon Age 2 has better combat but it doesn't even compare to the first game in every other area.



Overall they're both worth the buy.

There are Warriors Rogues and mages



Yes on both counts. You only realy get pets if you become a ranger though.

Dragon Age Origins is the best Dragon Age. DA2 is not a true sequel. They tried to make combat more fast paced in this but they sacrifice story. It also doesn't help that you frequently see the same reused locations everywhere and no variance in environment. All of the choices made from Dragon Age Origins really don't affect what happens in Dragon Age 2 as the stories in both are happening in around the same time just in different lands Ferelden and Free Marches.Dragon age 2 worth it?
